We got another great episode of The Vampire Diaries this week. I love that this show keeps getting better and better. Stefan decided to start targeting Klaus' hybrids. He killed a few of them, which naturally upset Klaus. In retaliation, Klaus wanted Tyler to bite Caroline (which would kill a vampire, if you'll recall). Tyler refused, so Klaus relented. But later, Tyler ended up doing it unconsciously. Klaus offered up his blood to Caroline to save her from death and she agreed.
Stefan continued to push Klaus to his breaking point in the episode, refusing to give him the coffins and demanding he remove his hybrids from Mystic Falls. To prove his power over Klaus, Stefan threatened to turn Elena into a vampire, thus making her important blood useless to him. Klaus eventually relented, but Stefan really drove Elena away with his actions. Jeremy also left town. Will we see him again? I sure hope so, since he got pretty awesome in the previous episode.
Oh hey, keep in mind how Elena and Damon played some serious tonsil hockey last week? all is managing the fallout in their own way: Elena’s hitting the daylights out of a punching bag, whereas Damon is strutting concerning shirtless, smirking just like the vampire cat who drank the canary. I actually have a sense his shower scene might enter the record books because the most-often rewound sequence on TV this year. But alas, the afterglow can’t last forever. A hybrid’s sniffing around Ye Olde Witch House as Bonnie tries in vain to open the mysterious fourth coffin. (For those keeping score at home: Klaus has six siblings. 2 died as humans; one is Rebekah. That leaves 3 coffins containing 3 Originals, as well as Elijah, and one casket containing Lord is aware of what.)
Though Damon manages to tear the nosy hybrid’s heart out through its back (take a drink, everyone!) before it will cause any bother, Stefan’s convinced that this suggests war. He’s ready to try and do with regards to something to induce Klaus’s minions out of city. Uh-oh—if even Damon’s worried that somebody has gone off the rails, you recognize it’s unhealthy. At Mystic Falls college for Witchcraft and Wizardry—er, sorry, Mystic Falls High—things aren't any less tense. Bonnie is understandably angry with Elena once learning that Jeremy’s been compelled to go away town; she doesn’t feel far better once approaching him to raise if he was designing on telling her concerning the move. Meanwhile, Caroline and Tyler have a tragic encounter—he tells her there’s nothing he will do concerning his want to serve Klaus, and he or she glumly accepts his words. The conversation ends when Tyler hands Caroline alittle gift—it’s a charm bracelet—and walks away. Oh, did I mention it’s Caroline’s eighteenth birthday? Yikes.
